Alot of young people want to know when they’ll find real love. I think that in one way or another everyone is searching for real love. I guess everyone defines real love differently. My parents have been married for 21 years and I think that their relationship is beautiful. They are very different people and they seem to balance each other out quite well. My dad has been through many difficult things and my mom has supported him no matter what and he has done the same thing for her. Their love is not one that many people understand. They aren’t all over each other in public and they aren’t “lovey dovey” all of the time. In my opinion they show their love for each other by being honest, supportive, and real. They don’t feel the need to explain themselves or put on a show for ANYONE!
I was having a chat with one of my friends and we were talking about one of the couples that we know. She thought they were the “cutest little things” because they were always writing “I love you” on each other’s walls on facebook and posting pictures of them hugging and kissing. I told her that all of that is show and tell!!! Real love doesn’t have to be displayed like a damn science project. I happened to know that the girl in the relationship was not being treated well by the guy, however, they sure put on a hell of a show.
I am NOT saying that there is something wrong with posting on each other’s facebook pages! What I am saying is that when people are really in love they don’t feel the need to search for everyone’s approval. Come on now, how often do we see couples’ “make out” pictures on facebook and sweet little wall posts and then a month later they are changing their relationship status to single and cursing each other out.
Real love is true and genuine. It isn’t a show and tell presentation so the world can tell you how cute you are. One example of true love is one my friends (I won’t mention his name) and his girlfriend. Yes they write to each other online but their relationship is so much deeper than that. They don’t look for other people to make comments…people just do because they’re nosey most of the time. After having a conversation with him a few days ago I see that his love for her is too deep for some people to even understand, which is why I told him to watch out for haters.
Nothing is more beautiful than true love. “Show and tell love” is very short-lived because the couple is too busy trying to impress other people and not really work on their relationship…..Just my thoughts on this topic. Real Talk.
